To conclude Water Month 2022, the South African Cities Network (SACN) and the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) together with partners, the World Resources Institute, the GIZ‘s Natural Resources Stewardship Programme (NatuReS), the USAID WASH-FIN Program, bring this fifth (5th) installment of the Water Resilient Cities series of learning events.

The theme for this learning event will be aligned with that of World Water Day 2022, Groundwater: Making the invisible visible. Although groundwater is the source of nearly half of all drinking water in the world, it is unseen and often misunderstood, misused and poorly managed. To better understand this valuable resource and immense reservoir, the partners are bringing together different African city perspectives and experiences on sustainable groundwater governance approaches and the role of groundwater in supporting water resilience in cities. Save the date for an engaging and informative session.
