Katie has a Master’s with Distinction in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics, and a First-Class Undergraduate Degree from the University of Cambridge in Geography. Her Undergraduate dissertation dealt with issues of green attitudes and infrastructure in Sweden, whilst her Master’s thesis explored climate change narratives related to policy in Small Island States. She has volunteered in New Delhi with ActionAid India’s partnership unit, during which she supported field research on food security and women’s empowerment. Katie has also been a research consultant for Oxfam GB, analysing projects on climate change adaptation and sustainable forestry.

Katie has been a passionate advocate for sustainability for as long as she can remember and is still proud of her blue peter badge for making a Christmas tree out of recycled bottles aged 7. Outside of work Katie likes to keep busy doing too many things at once, be it attempting salsa dancing, swimming, a cappella, going to the theatre, running or duolingo.
