Saif is an Urban Data and Analytics Associate on the Data & Tools team at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He participates in the development of data products and analytical tools to provide cities and stakeholders with relevant geo-spatial data, indicators and insights to face climate change impacts.

Before joining WRI, he worked as Lead Data Scientist and Data Product Manager in several startups in France developing Location Intelligence software solutions and data management platforms. Believing in the important role of open source and open data for addressing climate issues, Saif is the founder of OpenGeoScales: An open source framework for standardizing climate related data at multiple geographical scales.

Saif holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Grenoble-Alpes in France, specialized in social exposure to climate hazards. He has a master degree in Environmental Psychology from the university of Nimes and a diploma in Architecture and Urban Planning from the National School of Architecture and Urbanism of Tunis.

Saif lives in the Hague with his spouse.
